Honeymoon® Tropical Sunset Hellebore features showy nodding buttery yellow cup-shaped flowers with burgundy veins at the ends of the stems from early to mid spring. The flowers are excellent for cutting. Its serrated oval compound leaves remain forest green in colour throughout the year.
This attractive selection produces bushy mounds of thick evergreen leaves; flower stalks bear large, showy, cup shaped creamy yellow flowers with burgundy veining and picotee edges; a great selection for shade gardens or borders.

Honeymoon® Tropical Sunset Hellebore does best in partial shade to shade. It does best in average to evenly moist conditions, but will not tolerate standing water. It is not particular as to soil pH, but grows best in rich soils. It is somewhat tolerant of urban pollution, and will benefit from being planted in a relatively sheltered location. This particular variety is an interspecific hybrid, and parts of it are known to be toxic to humans and animals, so care should be exercised in planting it around children and pets. Note that when grown in a container, it may not perform exactly as indicated on the tag - this is to be expected. Also note that when growing plants in outdoor containers and baskets, they may require more frequent waterings than they would in the yard or garden. Be aware that in our climate, most plants cannot be expected to survive the winter if left in containers outdoors, and this plant is no exception.
